Research
The ETSIAAB carries out an intense research work, structured into thirty-two Research Groups, some of which perform their activity in one of the three Research Centres associated to the ETSIAAB.
In addition, there are nine University-Company Chairs. The areas of research are food industry, plant production, animal production, biotechnology, plant breeding, genetic resources, rural engineering and modelling, natural and environmental resources, economy, management, and rural development.
This research activity places the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as the second best Spanish university in the "Agriculture & Forestry" list of the QS Top Universities Ranking (2022).
Several research groups also have extensive experience collaborating with industry, companies, and public administrations.
The research activity is reflected in the five doctoral programs taught at the ETSIAAB.
